Capital Program Manager(s)
This individual is responsible for working with campuses in the State University of New York system to plan and coordinate multi-year capital programs. Specific duties include reviewing program needs and objectives; developing campus capital programs that address critical maintenance and programmatic needs; identifying, scoping and budgeting individual capital projects; monitoring the progress of capital plans, specific projects and overall capital plan resources; initiating and managing project reviews, program studies and campus master plans. Travel within New York State is required in order to fulfill this function.
A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering, at least 10 years of working experience is required and a professional license is preferred. Additional requirements include: working knowledge of applicable laws, rules and standards regulating design and construction; effective written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
