Visitors
All non-employees (vendors, bidders, visitors) who access the State University Plaza are required to present picture identification to building security officials and obtain a visitor's pass prior to entering the building. They should allow sufficient time to be processed through building security, especially for bidders to assure delivery of their bid prior to the deadlines for receipt of bids. All visitors must use the north-end building entrance.

Driving Directions to SUNY Plaza
These are directions to the State University Parking Garage located adjacent to the SUNY Plaza at the corner of Maiden Lane and Water Street in downtown Albany. There is no visitor parking in the SUNY Plaza garage. Public parking is available on Green Street and also on Columbia Street. Both of these public parking areas are within short distance to the SUNY Plaza.
Coming from the:
SOUTH on the New York State Thruway(I-87), use Albany Exit 23 and take I-787 North to Downtown Albany exit (US9 North-US 20 West). Continue to the Colonie Street exit, turn left at the traffic light onto Water Street, the service road parallel to I-787. Immediately past Maiden Lane bear right onto the entrance lane for the State University Parking Garage.
NORTH on the Adirondack Northway(I-87), take exit to I-90 East and proceed to Exit 6 for Downtown Albany via I-787 South. From I-787, use exit ramp for Columbia St./Colonie St. and proceed along Water St., the service road parallel to I-787. Immediately past Maiden Lane bear right onto the entrance lane for the State University Parking Garage.
EAST on I-90, immediately after crossing the Hudson River, take the exit ramp for Junction I-787 - Albany/Troy, staying to the left for the Albany ramp for (south on I-787). From I-787 use exit ramp for Columbia St./Colonie St. to Water Street. Immediately past Maiden Lane bear right onto the entrance lane for the State University Parking Garage.
WEST on the New York State Thruway(I-90), take Albany Exit 24 and proceed east on I-90. Take ramp just beyond Exit 6 for Downtown Albany via I-787 South. From I-787, use exit ramp for Columbia St./Colonie St. to Water Street. Immediately past Maiden Lane bear right onto the entrance lane for the State University Parking Garage.
