Historic Preservation - Sheldon Hall
SUCF is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the exterior historic preservation of Sheldon Hall at SUNY Oswego. Sheldon Hall is the "Old Main" of the Oswego campus. The building was built in 1911 and comprises a total area of approximately 119,000 gsf on three floor levels (two main floors above grade and one floor partially below grade). The building currently houses administrative space and academic programs for the College. This proposed exterior restoration project will respect the building's history and significance, and will help insure that the building remains a useful tool in the college's educational mission. The project will include a separate analysis and technical study/masonry survey to help refine the scope of work. Submissions should emphasize the design team's significant past experience in providing analysis and design of building exteriors with historic character, in constructing such design projects for public institutions and in managing such projects for public and instritutional clients in an expeditious manner. Statements of Qualifications must be submitted in the format prescribed by the Fund.
